Starting the year on a grateful note

LifeStreet Media ended 2013 on a high note. We reached a myriad of all-new business milestones: 350 million total app installs completed for advertisers and $175 million in ad revenues paid to publishers; we launched new mobile publisher and mobile RTB buying solutions; we emerged as one of the world’s largest programmatic buyers of mobile in-app advertising; and we won several awards from our industry colleagues.

Now we have kicked off 2014 with an all-new philanthropic milestone: a greater than $20,000 donation to our local food bank, Second Harvest of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

Every year from Thanksgiving to Christmas, employees forgo the lunch subsidies provided to them by LifeStreet. The company doubles the savings, and additional individuals make further personal contributions. The result this year is a greater than $20,000 donation to Second Harvest Food Bank. LifeStreet’s total lifetime contribution to the food bank, based on four consecutive years of program participation, amounts to almost $35,000.

Second Harvest is able to provide on average 2 meals for each dollar donated, so this year’s contribution will generate some 40,000+ meals to local Bay Area families in need. Second Harvest, one of the nation’s largest food banks, distributes food to a quarter of a million people per month, or one in 10 people in the food bank’s two-county region.

We wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014.
