LifeStreet CEO discusses trends in social and mobile advertising
LifeStreet CEO Mitchell Weisman participated in a lively panel discussion on “trends in social and mobile advertising” this morning at the Inside Social Apps Conference.
Along with moderator Justin Smith and panelists from other leading online advertising firms, Weisman addressed a range of topics, from native and incentivized ads, to the importance of mediators, to the enormous opportunity inherent in RTB and programmatic advertising.
A few of the points raised by Weisman:
- Facebook and Google are among the only companies with the unique ability to know when mobile and desktop users are the same person. This has profound implications for their ability to advertise to us in a multi-channel fashion and will over time lead to an increased ability to target and re-target in increasingly sophisticated ways
- Weisman spoke repeatedly about the importance of working with a mediator or ad server to increase advertisers’ abilities to conduct business productively and to provide the flexibility to properly experiment with different advertising options in order to determine what is most effective for each business
- Weisman stated that the industry grows when we make it possible to deploy capital in a productive and measureable way
At LifeStreet, that’s what we strive to do for our customers and partners every day.
