Two weeks ago LifeStreet launched a series of marketing cartoons or “marketoons” to highlight some of the challenges and absurdities of our industry — while also having some summertime fun. Below you can check out the second marketoon in our series.

Online advertising is evolving at unprecedented rates. Thanks to the growth of exchanges, transformative technologies such as Real-Time Bidding (RTB), and standardization work by industry associations like the IAB, online advertising is quickly becoming a liquid marketplace, as LifeStreet CEO Mitchell Weisman recently discussed at the APPNATION Conference. Gone are the days when it took weeks or months to buy an ad; ad buying and selling today can take place within mere milliseconds. Marketplace liquidity will lead to dramatic growth in the already considerable online advertising ecosystem for the players prudent enough to take advantage of it.
